The Property Solutions of America Midwest Sprint Touring Series will help open two local track’s seasons this weekend with appearances at Rapid Speedway and Wagner Speedway. Hot laps are scheduled for 7 p.m. at both events.

First up, Rapid Speedway, located on the Lyon County Fairgrounds, will host event no. 60 in MSTS history. Eight different drivers have taken a checkered flag in the 10 previous MSTS events on the 3/8 mile oval. Only Tim Kaeding has multiple wins, while Lee Grosz, Eric Lutz, Ryan Bickett, Robby Wolfgang, Dusty Ballenger, Gregg Bakker and Jody Rosenboom each have one.

Rosenboom is the most recent MSTS winner at his hometown speedway. The pilot of the Todd’s Beer Cave #14 got the win on Sept. 15 of last season. Meantime, 2015 series champion, Eric Lutz, is fresh off a $10,000 victory at the South Dakota Sprint Car Nationals this past weekend in the Jeremy Scadden Construction #6.

Saturday night, Wagner Speedway hosts its first of four nights of MSTS 360 action for 2018. The action starts well before the racing with a community celebration starting in downtown Wagner at 11 a.m.

MSTS visited the high-banked oval twice in 2017 with Tyler Drueke and Dusty Zomer taking the wins.

Wagner’s event is the first of the Blazin’ Bonus events for MSTS in 2018. Thanks to Buffalo Wild Wings, any driver who competes at all four MSTS events at Wagner and the July show at Sioux Center will receive a bonus of $820.

Rapid Speedway adult tickets are $15, $5 for ages 7-14 and free for six and under.

Wagner Speedway adult tickets are $20, $8 for ages 8-13 and free for seven and under.
