A huge opening weekend is planned for racing in the Upper Midwest as the Park Jefferson Speedway opens its 22nd year with the 1st ever South Dakota Sprint Car Nationals presented by Pepsi. Sanctioned by the MSTS and Nebraska 360’s, the event will be a bonanza of racing with the 360 sprint cars gunning for a cool $10,000 top prize and $700 just to start the A Main. A number of exciting drivers are expected such as top 2017 runners Cody Ledger, Jack Dover, Ryan Bickett and Sprint Invaders champ Jon Agan amongst others.
“We are really excited to put this event out for the fans to be able to watch some of the top drivers in the Upper Midwest compete for their largest purse of the year” stated owner Adam Adamson.
Friday night will see twin preliminary heats as drivers will draw for position in heat 1 then at the conclusion of heat 1 will see each heat inverted based on the finishing order and run again. Joining them will be a complete program for the Keizer Wheel IMCA RACESaver 305 Sprint Cars, J&J Fitting IMCA Stock Cars, IMCA Sport Modifieds and IMCA Sport Compacts.
Saturday will see the big finale as the Feature lineup will be based on best overall finish from the previous night’s heats with tiebreakers being decided by total number of cars passed based on original starting lineups.
